Hellloooo!
Audience analysis is important in the speech development process because it helps us anticipate what might actually happen on speech day. By using audience analysis we can think of maybe back up plans and different strategies/techniques when speaking. Thinking of certain messages that interest the audience can play a big part also when doing a presentation. We would probably feel more confident because we would know what to expect. I will probably use those types of strategies in developing my speech. I would think of questions the audience might ask me and answer the questions during my presentation. I would basically just try to picture myself on-stage, and as a part of the audience watching myself analyzing what I could do to send out my message.

Today I went to a workshop about delivering speeches, and the instructor talked a lot about how the audience will respond depending on how the speaker projects themselves. A video was played and Monica from the show Friends was going to give a speech about her parents wedding anniversary. Monica was trying to get the audience to cry by bringing up her dead grandma and dog. Instead of making the audience cry she embarrassed herself, scared them, and made her family and friends look bad. What Monica should have done was to see what kind of reaction she got from the audience and try a different approach instead of just continuing to force her failed approach.
