In the Speech Buddy Videos I did learn something from each video that will become very useful. In the material of video 2.1, it taught me that I need to take myself to a quiet environment in where I can concentrate & focus on my speech. Another important guideline I learned from that video is that I could take my feelings of "butterflies" in my stomach & turn that into doses of energy towards my presentation.
In video 2.2 of Loren's speech, I learned that if I present myself in a confident way then people will focus on that rather then finding what I am doing wrong. If I start to feel anxiety I should calmly breathe and walk throughout the front of the room in a steady pace. I would want people to understand the message I am trying to send them rather than worrying on how I am feeling or appearing in front of a room.
In the last video, "Intro: Jessica" I learned that I would need a strong introduction and conclusion that grabs my audiences attention in what I am trying to tell them. By watching Jessica's presentation I also learned that hand gestures can be a good thing in relieving nerves, but it can also be a distraction to people in a audience. So overall these videos were a great source in giving what-to-do tips, and also what-not-to-do tips. I will take in consideration both tips towards my preparation in making my speech and the day of the presentation.
